In general, the focus at Oktoberfest is drinking, eating, frolicking, and singing. It is this tradition, atmosphere, and spectacle that makes it so unique. But Oktoberfest is also a family thing.
We start our visit to the Czech Republic by heading to the town of Pilzen about 45 miles west of Prague to visit Pilsner Urquell, the home of the first “pilsner” lager. Pilsner Urquell has been brewing the same recipe from this location since 1842.
